This two-session class is for beginners and the projects are selected to be fun and practical!
Class 1 topics include: sewing machine anatomy, machine threading, pressing techniques & equipment, stitch selection, basic seam sewing. Class 2 topics include: sewing tips & tools, identifying & selecting fabrics, pinning & cutting double layers of fabric, bobbin winding & machine threading, selecting stitch length, width, and type, pressing, clipping & trimming

The cost includes instruction, the use of class machines*, tools, thread and other supplies. (*You may also bring your own machine to use if this is better for you.)

We make a cushion cover in class 1 and a tote bag in class 2

Materials required:

Students provide their own fabric. When you register will let you know what type of fabric is appropriate, how much you need, and how to prepare it before class begins.
