Teens can build their sewing skills by creating basics like pyjama pants, skirts, rucksacks, and makeup/pencil cases. These classes feature small groups, fun and useful projects, opportunity to consolidate and extend skill level. â€‹â€‹

Most projects are completed in one or two sessions. 

 

Class size: 3-4 people

 

Ages: 12-17

 

Cost:

  • depends on number of sessions

  • The cost includes instruction, the use of class machines*, tools, thread and other supplies.

  • Students supply their own fabric (see below)

*You may also bring your own sewing machine to use if this is better for you.  

 

Date(s):

  • After school or weekend classes​

  • We run Teen Classes sessions in the fall and the spring when there is enough interest - let us know what you're interested in sewing!

 

Time(s):

  • 1.5 hour classes

Materials required:

  • Students purchase their own fabric and notions for each project

  • When you register will let you know what type of fabric is appropriate, how much you need, and how to prepare it before class begins.

Location:

  • Classes are held in The Sewing School studio located in the south end near the Memorial Centre​
     

A few notes:

  • A minimum of 3 students is required for the class to run.

  • Class details are emailed to parents closer to the starting date
