These two or three session workshops run several times a year. In these class, students will cut and sew a basic garment for themselves from a featured indy pattern. Although most projects take six hours, the number of hours for this class may vary with the pattern selected. Some homework may be required!​​

The cost includes instruction, the use of class machines*, tools, thread and other supplies. (*You may also bring your own machine to use if this is better for you.)

Students must be a confident beginner. A Kickstarter class is recommended but an equivalent skill level will be accepted.

Fashion a Favourite - Draft a pattern from a favourite garment and make a muslin (first draft) version

Students usually provide their own fabric. When you register will let you know what type of fabric is appropriate, how much you need, and how to prepare it before class begins.

Most of our classes are held in The Sewing School studio located in the south end near the Memorial Centre but sometimes for workshops we move to a larger space like the Peterborough Public Library​
